Miguel Deutch teaches courses on property law, law of contracts, commercial law, and intellectual property law. He received his LL.B., cum laude, from TAU and his Ph.D. from Hebrew University. The author of seven books in Hebrew, and two books in English, in the fields of contracts, property law, commercial torts, trade secrets, and the new Israeli Code. He has written above 30 articles, including "On Definiteness in Commercial Contracts," and "On Legal Genes and Competition of Rights: The Relation Between the Law of Contract and Unjust Enrichment Laws," both in the TAU Law Review (Hebrew);"The Property Concept of Trade Secrets in Anglo-American Law -An Ongoing Debate," Richmond Law Review; and "The Exclusive Distributor and Protection of Goodwill," Mishpatim (Hebrew). He is a member of various Ministry of Justice legislative committees, and served as the principal researcher of the Committee for the Codification of Israeli Law and as the editor of the Israeli legal periodical, Hapraklit. He has also served as the Director of the Israeli Institute for Continuing Legal Studies. Among other positions he served as the President of the Disciplinary Tribunal in the Tel Aviv University.
